Cook County medical examiner says 30 more residents have died of coronavirus-related causes

The Cook County medical examiner confirmed Sunday that 30 more people have died of coronavirus-related causes.

The county’s death toll now stands at 1,381, the medical examiner’s office said.

Cook County makes up about 71% of the coronavirus deaths in Illinois. Earlier Sunday, Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced 59 more deaths, raising the statewide total to 1,933.
